A grand Art Deco guard chain from the early 20^th Century made up of fancy cable links which are all solid 18ct Yellow and White Gold and articulate wonderfully together.  

The chain is complete with a claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearer’s hands warm in winter. 

The chain measures 56 inches in length with a total weight of 58 grams. It’s of a very high quality can be worn as one long chain or wrapped twice around the neck.
